NanoXplore PFPE anti fouling coating (AFC-4003) is a functional perfluoropolyether (PFPE) modified with alkyl siloxane, which has both the oil repellency and low friction coefficient characteristics of fluorinated polymers, as well as the hydrophobicity and durability characteristics of siloxane. The organic combination of PFPE polymer and alkoxysilane results in better friction resistance and UV durability of the product; The active end of alkoxysilane will undergo hydrolysis and condensation reactions with the surface to adjust the arrangement of the substrate surface structure. This excellent connection provides the durability required for touch screen applications; The low surface energy of PFPE polymer gives the surface self-cleaning ability and good scratch sensation; This product has excellent wear resistance, which can maintain the surface cleaning ability for a long time.

Purpose:
NanoXplore PFPE anti fingerprint, easy to clean, and abrasion resistant coating is suitable for many substrates, including glass, plastic, metal, and film. Typical applications include: touch screens for electronic devices and other electronic display devices; Office equipment; Optical lens metal substrate; Fiber optic anti fouling.
Usage: The NanoXplore PFPE surface anti fouling coating can be applied by immersion coating, spray coating, or physical vapor deposition (PVD, vapor deposition, or sputtering). Brief steps: Clean the substrate surface: To achieve better results, it is recommended to treat the surface with ultrasound or plasma. After cleaning, the surface water droplet angle should not exceed 5 °. Dilute the NanoXplore PFPE coating with a suitable fluorinated solvent (see table below) to a solid content of 0.03-0.2%. Dry the treated substrate at room temperature for at least 8 hours or cure it for 30 minutes at 130-150 ° C (122 ° F) and 50% relative humidity using spray, wipe, or dip coating methods. The original solution of this product can also be added to a ceramic or metal crucible and surface treated by PVD sputtering or vapor deposition. If necessary, use a suitable solvent (see table below) to clean excess anti fingerprint materials or surface impurities in the ultrasonic cell; Packaging and film application. If immersion coating, wiping or spraying methods are used, the diluted solution should be used as soon as possible, and any unused diluent should be stored in a light shielded and sealed manner to avoid prolonged exposure to air and moisture, in order to prevent performance loss. The solvents suitable for NanoXplore PFPE coating include but are not limited to: perfluorohexane (C6F14), hydrofluoroether (C4F9OCH3), 3M: Novoc ® HFE-7100 or HFE-7200; PFC series solvent Fluorinert ® FC-77 DuPont Vertrel series solvents or other suitable fluorine solvents
